I write in connection with your request for information that was received by the York and North Yorkshire Office for Policing, Fire, Crime and Commissioning (OPFCC) on the 21st of December. 

Question/ Request:  

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) near East Rounton. Specifically, I would like to request: 

Any risk assessments, safety evaluations, or emergency response plans prepared or reviewed concerning the Mowbray BESS project near East Rounton. 

Records of correspondence or internal communications regarding the fire safety, emergency response, or policing implications of the scheme. 

Details of any pre-application discussions or consultations held with developers or other stakeholders regarding the Mowbray BESS. 

Information on any concerns or requirements issued about fire safety, public safety, crime prevention, or emergency service access in relation to the project. 

Records of incidents, hazards, or risks associated with battery energy storage systems. 

If any part of this request exceeds statutory cost limits, I would appreciate your guidance to refine the scope accordingly.

I wish to advise you that there is no information held by the OPFCC in order to answer your request.    

This is because the information is held by North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Council.
