Fostering efficient and effective justice throughout North Yorkshire
Under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, there is a reciprocal duty for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and certain criminal justice agencies to co-operate in ensuring an efficient and effective criminal justice system.
As a member of the Local Criminal Justice Board, the Commissioner ensures that the police, the Courts and Tribunal Service, Crown Prosecution Service and the Probation Service all work together to provide the best service to victims.
